Parking brake cable equalizer
1 - equalizer; 2 - cables; 3 - adjusting nut; 4 - thrust
1. Remove the floor console.
2. Make sure the parking brake lever is pushed all the way down.
3. To self-adjust the parking brake elements, depress the brake pedal sharply several times, and then tighten and release the parking brake lever three times.
4. Raise the lever one click (from the fully lowered position).
5. Tighten adjusting nut 3 (see fig. Parking brake cable equalizer) until the rear wheels can be turned with difficulty by hand. Keep in mind that the adjusting nut is self-locking, so there must always be a few threads of the rod thread protruding from it, otherwise there will be no self-locking effect.
6. Lower the parking brake lever all the way down and turn the rear wheels by hand. They should rotate evenly, without jamming.
7. Raise the lever four clicks. The wheels must not turn. Otherwise, repeat the adjustment.
8. Install the floor console.
