1. Establish a steering wheel 1 in the position corresponding to rectilinear movement of the car. It is recommended to fix the steering wheel, e.g. with adhesive tape 2.
Attention! During repairs, do not turn the steering wheel, as the airbag mechanism may fail.
2. Loosen the two plastic nuts 1 (see fig. Fastening of a casing of a cardan shaft of a steering column) fastenings of a casing 2 cardan shaft of a steering column and remove a casing.
3. Loosen pinch bolt 4 (see fig. Fastening of a shaft of a steering column to a shaft of a driving gear wheel of the steering mechanism) cardan yokes.
4. Remove upwards the fork 2 of the cardan joint from the shaft 1 of the drive gear of the steering mechanism.
5. Remove the mudguard and front wheels.
6. On models with a silencer downpipe under the front suspension beam, remove the downpipe with the converter.
7. Disconnect the rear support 10 (see fig. Mounting the steering mechanism on the car (without amplifier)) power unit from the gearbox by unscrewing the two bolts 9 fastening.
8. Disconnect both tie rod ends from the pivot arms (see subsection 8.4.1).
9. Place a secure support under the front suspension beam.
10. Turn away bolts 8 fastenings of the steering mechanism to a beam 11 of a forward suspension bracket.
11. Lower the front suspension beam (see subsection 7.2.5).
12. Remove the steering gear.
