2. Unscrew the bolt 23 of the lower mounting of the shock absorber, holding the nut 22 from turning with another wrench. Remove bolt 23.
3. Unscrew the two bolts 33 of the upper shock absorber mounting.
4. Remove the shock absorber 34 from the vehicle.
5. Remove holder 35 from shock absorber.
6. Make sure the lower pivot rubber bushing does not rotate in the shock eyelet and its spacer does not move when pressed.
7. Check the operation of the shock absorber by moving its rod in both directions until it stops. The rod should move smoothly, without jamming and dips, and the force of the recoil stroke should be significantly higher than the force of the compression stroke.
8. Pay attention to the marking of the shock absorber. Install a new shock absorber with the same marking (the same manufacturer). If both shock absorbers are replaced, their markings must be the same.
9. Install shock absorber in reverse order. At the same time, replace the bolt 23 with the nut 22 of the lower mounting and the bolts 33 of the upper mounting of the shock absorber with new ones. The head of the bolt 23 of the lower mounting must be directed towards the inside of the vehicle during installation. Make the final tightening of bolt 23 with the vehicle on the ground.
