Attention! If the hub bearing fails, it is recommended to replace the bearing assembly with the hub.
1. Carefully knock off the protective cap 4 (see fig. Rear suspension parts with drum brakes) hub nuts and remove it.
2. Loosen the nut 5 of the hub (dodecahedral nut) and bolts 1 fastening the corresponding wheel.
3. Raise and secure the rear of the vehicle on jack stands.
4. Remove the wheel by unscrewing the final bolts of its fastening.
5. Make sure the parking brake lever is pushed all the way down (parking brake released).
6. Take off the brake pads (see subsection 9.5.2).
7. Turn away the screw 2 fastenings of a brake drum to a nave.
8. Remove the brake drum 3. If difficult to remove, remove the drum with a rubber or polymer hammer.
9. Completely unscrew the nut 5 of the hub.
10. Carefully, without twisting, remove the hub 6 from the pin.
11. Press the hub 6 onto the trunnion 19, making sure that the hub does not warp.
12. Screw on a new nut 5 of the hub. Finally tighten the hub nut with the vehicle on the ground.
13. Install drum and wheel.
14. Be sure to replace a broken or deformed 4 hub cap.
15. Press the brake pedal several times to bring the pads into position.
