1. Disconnect the parking brake cables (see subsection 9.9.4).
2. Loosen bolts 1 (see fig. Rear suspension parts with drum brakes) rear wheel mounts.
3. Install the ties on both springs 31 of the suspension.
4. Raise the rear of the vehicle until the wheels are off the ground and secure it on jack stands.
5. Remove both springs 31 (see subsection 7.3.6).
6. Disconnect the brake hoses on both sides of the beam from the brake pipes 20 going to the wheel cylinders of the brake mechanisms of the rear wheels. Plug the openings of the pipes and hoses.
7. Lower the rear of the car until the wheels touch the ground and support on supports in this position.
8. Unscrew nuts 29 on both sides of the suspension beam 18 to the brackets 30 of the body.
9. Take out the bolts 28. If necessary, knock them out with a hammer.
10. Roll out on wheels from under the car a beam of a back suspension bracket with brake mechanisms, tubes, hoses and cables.
11. When using a lift to raise the car, before disconnecting the suspension arms from the body brackets, substitute supports under the spring cups of the arms, remove the wheels and dismantle the suspension beam with an assistant. If necessary, completely disassemble the rear suspension.
12. Install the rear suspension beam in reverse order. At the same time, replace with new bolts 23 with nuts 22 of the lower shock absorber mounting and bolts 28 with nuts 29 of fastening the beam to the body brackets. During installation, the heads of bolts 23 of the lower mounting of shock absorbers should be directed towards the inside of the vehicle, the heads of bolts 28 of fastening the beam to the body brackets should be directed to the outside. The final tightening of bolts 23 and 28 should be carried out with the vehicle on the ground (when tightening the suspension arm bolts, put a load of about 75 kg in the trunk).
