Power sunroof control switch
1 - switch handle; 2 - interior ceiling upholstery; I, II and III - positions of the switch knob
On the upholstery of the headlining is the handle 1 of the electric sliding roof control switch.
The electric drive works at the included ignition. However, it can also be used after turning off the ignition for approximately 10 minutes, provided that during this time any of the front doors is not opened.
Warning! Inadvertently closing the roof can cause injury.
Attention! Do not open or close the roof at speeds over 160 km/h, as this may damage it.
The symbols on the switch scale indicate:
- I - the roof is completely closed;
- III - the roof is completely open.
Between the characters I and III, the handle can occupy an intermediate position. With the roof rack installed, only set the handle to position II, marked by the larger dot on the scale. Opening the roof too wide can damage the trunk.
If the battery is disconnected, the roof may not close completely. Therefore, in order to reset the control system, with the ignition on, press the front part of the switch handle in position I for at least 5 seconds - the roof will completely close.
The roof can be closed by closing the doors with the key. To do this, turn the key in the lock and hold it in this position until the roof closes. When the key is released, the roof will stop immediately.
Emergency roof control
If the electric drive fails, you can close the roof manually.
1. Carefully pry cover 1 of roof control mechanism 2 with a screwdriver on the headlining and fold it out (3 - handle).
2. Remove the handle 3 from the holder and insert it into the opening of the mechanism 2 until it stops.
3. By turning knob 3 in the appropriate direction, open or close the roof.
4. Put the handle 3 back into the holder and close the cover 1.
5. To reset the control system, with the ignition on, press for at least 5 seconds on the front of the handle 1 (see fig. Power sunroof control switch) switch set to position I, the sunroof will close completely.
6. With increased resistance to roof movement (snowfall, freezing, etc.) the roof can be operated by pressing the front or rear of the switch handle 1. In this case, the roof starts to move 1 s after pressing the handle.
