Attention. Each time the cylinder head is removed, the cylinder head bolts must be replaced. When repairing the block head, replace the valve stem seals, regardless of their condition.
Valve drive parts for 1.0L, 37kW and 1.4L, 50kW engines
1 - the axis of the yoke of the valves; 2 - retaining ring; 3 - outer rack of the axis of the rocker arms; 4 - spring ring; 5 - rocker; 6 - adjusting screw; 7 - locknut; 8 – rack axis of the rocker arms small; 9 – stand of the axis of the rocker arms is large; 10 - retaining ring; 11 - spring
Camshaft for 1.0L, 37kW and 1.4L, 50kW engines
1 - pusher rod; 2 - hydraulic valve pusher; 3 - block of cylinders; 4 - sealing ring; 5 - camshaft position sensor; 6 - screw; 7 - camshaft; 8 - key; 9 - locking plate; 10 - bolts
Removing the valve lifter
1 - hydraulic valve pusher; 2 - hook
1. Remove the cylinder head (see subsection 2.7).
2. Remove intake pipe (see subsection 4.11) and exhaust manifold.
3. Remove oil seals (see subsection 2.9).
4. Remove the valves from the head, having previously marked them so as not to be confused during installation.
5. For the 1.0L 37kW and 1.4L 50kW engine, do the following:
- mark the racks and rocker arms so as not to confuse them during installation;
- remove retaining rings 2 (see fig. Valve drive parts for 1.0L, 37kW and 1.4L, 50kW engines);
- remove racks 3, 8, 9 and rocker 5 from axle 1. If not necessary, do not turn away;
- adjusting screws 6 and locknuts 7 so as not to disturb the adjustment of the valves;
- remove thrust rings 10, rocker arms 5 and spring 11;
- take out rods 1 (see fig. Camshaft for 1.0L, 37kW and 1.4L, 50kW engines) pushers from the block of 3 cylinders and mark them so as not to be confused during installation;
- remove from the block of cylinders hydropushers of 2 valves. To do this, make a hook from a wire with a diameter of 1.8 / 1.9 mm, as shown in the figure (see fig. Removing the valve lifter). Insert the hook into the hole in the hydraulic pusher and engage the pusher. Mark the hydraulic pushers so as not to be confused during installation.
6. For the 1.9l TDI engine, 74 kW, remove the unit injectors (see subsection 4.14.4).
