Marking of camshafts of engines with a working volume of 1.4 liters

The block head is assembled in the reverse order of disassembly, taking into account the following:

1. Before installation, lubricate with engine oil the valve stems, working surfaces of the hydraulic pushers and rocker arms, valve stem seals, cams and camshaft journals, rocker arm axles.

2. For engines of 1.0 l, 37 kW and 1.4 l, 50 kW, when assembling the rocker axles, position the rocker arms and rack as shown in fig. Axle of rocker arms of valves assy.


3. For 1.4 l, 55 and 74 kW engines, before sealing 3 (see fig. Details of the cylinder head of engines 1.4 l, 55 and 74 kW) lubricate their working edges with engine oil. Replace bolts 1 fastening the camshaft pulleys and bolts 6 fastening the bearing housing.

4. The marking of the camshafts is shown in fig. Marking of camshafts of engines with a working volume of 1.4 liters. On the intake camshaft between the cams of the first and second cylinders, the inscription 036AC is applied, and between the cams of the third cylinder - DE, on the exhaust camshaft, respectively, the inscriptions 036AA and W1 are applied.

5. For diesel engines 1.9 l, 74 kW, before installing bearing caps, install washers 4 (see fig. 1.9L 74KW Diesel Engine Head), replace the bolts 1 fastening the axles of the rocker arms and the bolts 19 fastening the bearing caps.



6. Before installing the bearing caps, apply sealant to the first and fifth caps as shown in fig. Sealing locations on the first and fifth camshaft bearing caps. The marking of the camshaft is shown in the figure, at the end of the cam of the exhaust valve of the fourth cylinder, the inscription 038R or 858R is applied, and the diameter is a (circle inscribed in a cam) equal to 52.8 mm.
