Muffler pipe marks
1 - muffler pipe; 2 - resonator; 3 - connecting sleeve; A, B, C - marks on the pipe
The muffler assembly is a non-separable unit, but if necessary, you can separately replace the muffler or resonator.
1. Cut the muffler pipe at a right angle at the middle mark A.
2. Remove replacement part (resonator or muffler).
3. Carefully deburr the ends of the pipes.
4. Install a new unit with a connecting sleeve 3 on the car. For ease of operation, it is recommended that the coupling bolts of the clamps fastening the connecting sleeve be positioned with their heads down.
5. Align the ends of the connecting sleeve to the extreme marks B and C on the pipes on both sides.
6. Check and, if necessary, align the exhaust system (see subsection 6.2).
7. Place the muffler in a horizontal position and evenly tighten the coupling bolts of the clamps of the connecting sleeve.
