It is more convenient to check the gravity valve on the removed fuel tank.
1. Remove bolt 17 (see fig. Details of the power supply system of the carburetor engine) fasteners and remove the filler neck 18.
2. Disconnect the hose from the gravity valve 19 to the adsorber 21.
3. Unbend the spring clips and pull up the valve 19 from the fuel tank filler pipe.
4. Blow out the valve with air. In the vertical position the valve must be open, when tilted at an angle of 45°it must be closed. If this does not happen, then the valve is faulty and needs to be replaced.
