1. Disconnect from valve 4 (see fig. Fuel filter for a car with a diesel engine 1.9 l, 74 kW) heating fuel hoses 1 and 5.
2. Pull out the latch 3.
3. Remove valve 4 from fuel filter 7.
4. Through the fitting to which hose 1 is connected, supply cold water to the valve (temperature below 15°С) – water must flow out of the valve through the lower fitting (which the valve is attached to the fuel filter). Then supply warm water to the valve (temperature above 31°С) – the valve should close and the water from the valve should exit through the fitting to which the hose 5 is connected. If this does not happen, then the valve is faulty and must be replaced.
