Checking diesel glow plugs 1.9 l, 47 kW

When checking, the battery must be charged (minimum battery voltage 11.5 V).

Candles can be checked with a voltage indicator with an LED.

1. With the ignition off, disconnect the tips from the glow plugs.

2. Connect indicator wire to terminal «+» battery.



3. Alternately touch the indicator to 2 glow plugs 1. In each case, the indicator LED should light up. If the LED on any of the candles does not light up, then the candle is faulty and needs to be replaced.

4. Install a new spark plug and tighten to 15 Nm.
