1. Remove the battery and its mounting bracket.
2. Disconnect both cables 2 and 3 (see fig. Disconnecting the drive cables from the gear levers type 002) from the levers on the gearbox. To do this, using the wrench 1 as a lever, remove the ends of the cables from the ball pins 4 of the levers.
3. Remove three screws 1 (see fig. Type 002 Gearbox Cable Bracket Mounts) fastening the bracket 2 cables to the gearbox.
4. Remove the gear shift knob (see subsection 7.1.2.4).
5. Carefully prying with a screwdriver, remove the lining 5 (see fig. Details of fastening of a cover of the gear lever) floor console.
6. Turn away two 1 nuts of forward fastening of the case of the mechanism 2 gear change.
7. Loosen eight nuts 5 (see fig. Silencer exhaust pipe coupling on models with gearbox type 002) fasteners and remove the cross member 6.
8. After loosening the tightening bolts 3 of the collars of fastening the connecting sleeve 2, disconnect the front pipe 1 from the resonator 4 of the exhaust system.
9. Disconnect the resonator from the cushion 7 of the suspension mount.
10. Disconnect the front pipe 17 (see fig. Engine Exhaust System 1.0L 37kW and 1.4L 50kW and fig. Exhaust system for 1.4L engine, 55 and 74 kW) from pillows 8.
11. Remove heat shield 8 (see fig. Silencer exhaust pipe coupling on models with gearbox type 002).
12. Remove bolt 16 (see fig. Details of the gear shift mechanism) fastening the housing 14 of the gear change mechanism and remove the gear change drive from the vehicle.
13. Replace damaged or heavily compressed sealing gasket 11. Gasket 11, made with an adhesive layer, is glued to the gear shift housing.
14. Install the gearshift drive in reverse order. Before connecting the cables to the levers, apply a thin layer of grease to the bushings 2 of the tips, taking care not to get grease on the seal of the tip 1. After installation, adjust the shift actuator.
