General information about the car body

The body of Skoda Octavia cars is load-bearing, with a steel frame, consists of two compartments. The rear part, extended under the rear window - with a stepped back - sedan type. The luggage compartment lid leans back together with the rear window on hinges located in the roof of the car. This allows you to load large items.

The body is considered the backbone of the entire vehicle, as is common with all frameless vehicles, and its number is the vehicle's registration number. The body frame of all types and their modifications is unified. Body kit, of course, differs in individual modifications (LX, GLX and SLX) interior and exterior decoration.

All steel sheets from which the body is made are galvanized in order to increase corrosion resistance.
