The pressurized brake fluid is routed from the master tandem brake cylinder by high pressure rubber hoses and steel pipes. Brake pipes steel, galvanized, with an external protective layer of plastic. Their maximum anti-corrosion protection. The outer diameter of the tubes is 4.75 mm. They are pre-bent accordingly and fixed along the way in plastic clips so that they do not come into contact with other parts of the car.
Hoses combined with steel tubes are also installed on the car.
The connection of tubes with hoses and cylinders is carried out by conical seating surfaces and special union nuts. Nuts have fine threads (M 12x1 or Ml0x1) and a 11 mm hexagon wrench. At the threaded connection of the hoses there are hexagons and grooves for fastening with elastic brackets.
During the inspection, it is only necessary to control the integrity of the hoses and tubes operating under pressure. At the slightest damage, it is necessary to change the entire part of the pipeline or hose, namely with a part of the same number. The replacement must be carried out by the ŠKODA service. Even temporarily, neither the hose nor the tube can be repaired in any way.
