For the successful implementation of the program for the processing of plastics in the car, it is necessary, if possible, to reduce their assortment and introduce a unified designation that helps to easily identify the type of material. Each plastic part is stamped with a standard designation. This makes it possible to classify, collect and subsequently recycle materials from decommissioned vehicles.
Example of a part designation made of recyclable plastic
The designation of each plastic part contains: the designation of the pressing tool, the part number of the assembly, the material code and the date of manufacture. The material code is formed by three pairs of letters and numbers (e.g. PP TV 20 - PP = polypropylene, TV 20 = 20% additives).
