The crank mechanism includes: crankshaft, flywheel and connecting rods with pistons as an assembly.
The crankshaft is made of forged steel. He has eight counterweight cheeks. The main and connecting rod journals of the crankshaft can be reground 3 times by 0.25 mm i.e. from the original diameter of the main journals 54.00 mm to 53.25 mm, connecting rod journals - from 47.80 mm to 47.05 mm. Oil channels to the bearings run transversely (diagonally).
At the front of the shaft there is a cylindrical surface for the pulley to fit, followed by the oil pump drive sprocket. At the opposite end is a flange with six holes for mounting the clutch pressure plate, and then the flywheel. The flywheel is a mounting unit with a ring gear for engaging the engine starter gear. The flywheel has a working surface for the clutch friction disc with a friction lining diameter of 228/150 mm.
The pressure plate is fastened to the crankshaft flange with special bolts backed with adhesive mastic. The pitch between the bolt holes is irregular in order to guarantee the correct position of the driver that activates the RPM sensor.
