The following radiators of all types are composite. This means that they have plastic side chambers and aluminum tubes inserted into them for the flow of liquid, held by rubber seals. The tubes are either round (for radiators with a thickness of 23 mm), or a section of a narrow oval, the major axis of which is oriented in the assembled radiator parallel to the air flow (34 mm thick radiators). The plates that give off heat to the air flow are made of aluminum sheet and are only tightly fitted onto the tubes.
Radiators - the so-called two-way. They have a horizontal partition in the middle of the left chamber that divides the chamber, as well as a neck into two parts - fittings for supplying and discharging coolant - both are located on the left side (in the direction of travel). The liquid flowing through the upper nozzle flows horizontally from the upper half of the left chamber into the right chamber, which has no baffle, and from there enters the lower part of the left chamber.
The inlet and outlet nipples have a seal for plastic hose ends and snap-in quick clamp spring holders for these ends.
All types of radiators have the same height - 414 mm; length and depth vary according to the type of radiator. The radiator, together with the fan, is mounted on a pre-assembly to the front transverse wall of the body, which is then installed completely in the body.
According to the type and number of fans, an appropriate bracket is used.
Mounting of all radiators is the same. The plastic chambers have two pins on each side. Elastic sockets made of rubber are mounted on them. A schematic representation of elastic sockets is shown in fig. Elastic radiator sockets. Nests are paired: upper and lower, differing in shape, but the same for the left and right sides. The elastic sockets are attached to the carrier frame with two thread-cutting screws.
