The thermostat cannot be repaired and, in the event of a malfunction, it must be replaced with a new one with the same order number.
The thermostat housings are different, as is their placement, depending on the type of engine.
Some housings are made of cast aluminum, some are made of plastic.
Examination
1. After removing the thermostat from the tank, put it in a vessel with water.
2. An accurate thermometer is also placed there.
3. The water is heated and monitored to see if the valve opens at the set temperature (87°C) and whether full opening will occur at the boiling point.
