The glass cover has been removed. Release screws -1- and remove rear cover -2-. Disconnect motor connector.
Loosen the screws on the motor and remove the motor upwards.
Installation
Attention! After replacing the sliding sunroof control unit -J245-, coding in the Guided functions of the Guided Fault Finding must be carried out. When removing the motor, the retaining clip may come off. It will need to be inserted correctly again.
Before installing the engine, insert the locking bracket into the frame. Mount the motor and tighten the motor mounting screws to the prescribed torque. Code sliding sunroof control unit -J245-.
Motor adaptation
Note: To ensure that the sliding/tilting sunroof opens/closes correctly, the motor must be adapted after removal and installation or replacement. Adaptation only takes place with the glass cover fitted. Risk of damage. After replacing the sliding sunroof control unit -J245-/sunroof blind control unit -J394-, coding and adaptation must be carried out in the Guided functions of the Guided Fault Finding under diagnostic address 19.
