Note: If the boot lid cannot be opened, it can be unlocked from the outside using the lock cylinder.
Remove tailgate trim. Remove lock cover -3-. Disconnect connector from tailgate lock actuator -1-. Loosen nuts -2- (21 Nm) and remove the lock -1- from the trunk lid.
Installation in reverse order.
