Note: To remove the metering pump -V54-, just lower the fuel tank slightly.
Switch off the auxiliary heater and all electrical consumers.
Attention! The fuel line is under pressure! Cover the connection point with a rag before disconnecting the hoses. Then, carefully loosen the connection to release the pressure.
Disconnect electrical connector -2-. Unclip locks -arrows- with a suitable tool and pull metering pump -5- with bracket -1- upwards out of tank. Remove metering pump -5- from guides -4-. Disconnect coupling -3- and plug fuel lines with suitable plugs.
Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: When replacing, observe metering pump model -V54- (different versions). Remove shipping plugs before installation. When installing in a fuel tank, it is important not to bend the fuel pickup tube so that it does not fall outside the tank of the fuel delivery module -D-. If the auxiliary heater works normally with a full tank, and interruptions occur when the tank is partially filled (error "No combustion" or "Repeated extinction of the flame"), this indicates an error in the installation of the fuel intake pipe (this pipe -A- is outside the tank -D-).
Replace bracket if clips -1- and -5- are broken or damaged. Replace clamp -7-. Insert metering pump -6- into guides -5-. Attach wiring harness -arrows-. Turn metering pump -6- so that connector -2- does not rest on bracket -1-. After fixing the pipelines, check their alignment, they should not be adjacent to the body.
