2. Screw: Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm.
Note: Disconnect the battery earth cable.
Airbag assembly on the driver's side. Remove steering wheel. Remove steering column trim. Remove instrument cluster. Remove the steering column switch block; steering column switch. Remove light switch. Disconnect the headlight range control potentiometer connector. Remove the hazard warning light switch and airbag deactivated warning light. Remove head unit or navigator (depending on configuration). For vehicles without radio and navigator, remove the storage compartment in the center of the dash panel.
Air conditioning with manual control
Remove the heater control panel.
Automatic air conditioner
Remove the air conditioning control and display unit together with the computer. Remove the sun light sensor.
Further for all vehicles
Remove center console.
Remove the bottom trim -1- in the -arrow A- and disconnect the USB connectors and the connectors for connecting external audio devices.
Remove dash panel side trims -1 and 2- using eg removal wedge -3409-. Remove upper A-pillar trim. Remove glove box bracket on passenger side.
Remove screw -1- (1.5 Nm).
Remove screw -1- (1.5 Nm).
Remove screws -1- (1.5 Nm).
Remove screw -1- (1.5 Nm).
Remove screw -1- (1.5 Nm). Disconnect the front passenger airbag module connector.
