For vehicles with engine code CRVC
Carefully! In the event of mechanical damage to the turbocharger, such as a broken compressor impeller, it is not enough to simply replace the turbocharger. To avoid subsequent damage, the following work must be carried out. Clean all oil lines and hoses. Change engine oil and oil filter. Check air filter housing, air filter element and charge air pipes and charge air hoses for contamination. Check all air ducts and intercooler for foreign objects. If found, remove them from the intake tract, if necessary, replace the intercooler. When installing, fasten all heat-insulating cuffs in their original places.
Remove engine cover. Drain coolant. Remove intake pipe. Remove the lower coolant pipe. On vehicles with an auxiliary heater, remove the coolant hoses from the bulkhead of the engine compartment. By pressing the clamps of the hose -1- crankcase ventilation, disconnect the hose from the cylinder head cover. Unclip vacuum hoses -arrows- at breather pipe. Unscrew screw -2-, move air duct with intake manifold connection to rear and detach from turbocharger.
Remove screws -arrows- and remove prechamber -1-. Disconnect wire from exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-. Remove the neutralizer. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation cooler.
Release screws -1...5- and remove bracket for exhaust gas recirculation cooler.
Remove screw -2- and union nut -4-.
Remove screws -3, 5- and remove oil return line.
Release screws -arrows- and remove heat shield -1-.
Detach vacuum hose -2- from turbocharger vacuum drive.
Unscrew nuts -arrows-, detach turbocharger with exhaust manifold from cylinder head and remove towards top.
Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: Replace gaskets, lip seals, O-rings and self-locking nuts. Fill the turbocharger with engine oil through the oil pressure port. Fittings, air ducts and air hoses must be cleaned of oil and grease before installation. Use factory-installed clamps to secure all hoses. After installing the turbocharger, let the engine idle for about 1 minute without revving to ensure proper oil supply to the turbocharger.
Install the rear coolant pipe. Install bracket for exhaust gas recirculation cooler. Install the exhaust gas recirculation cooler. Install the neutralizer. Install intake pipe. Connect vacuum hose.
