Removal and installation of rear lights

Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers. Insert the tool -T10389- or the hook to remove the decorative cap into the hole in the trim -1- (on-board tool), detach trim -arrow- one by one from retainers -2- and remove.



Remove screws -3- (2.5 Nm). Grasp the light -1- and carefully pull it out of the mounting hole -arrow- along the alignment axis with slight lateral movements. Disconnect connector -2-.

Installation

Installation in reverse order.

Note: Make sure that the seals are correctly positioned and that they are not damaged. When pushing the tail light into the mounting hole, pay attention to pushing the tail light wiring harness into the interior of the vehicle. A wire harness caught between the body and the light causes severe rainwater leakage and malfunction of the rear light.
