Carefully! When driving on very steep slopes, the cruise control cannot maintain a constant speed. The speed of the car increases under the influence of the weight of the car. In such cases, you should switch to a lower gear or slow down the vehicle with the brake pedal. Cruise control does not engage when first gear or reverse gear is engaged (at the ICP). Cruise control cannot be engaged if the automatic transmission selector is in position P, N, or R (vehicles with automatic transmission). Cruise control can be automatically deactivated when systems that use the brakes, (e.g. ESC), if the maximum permissible engine speed is exceeded, etc. The cruise control remains active even after changing gears!
Turn on/off
Steering column switch: cruise control controls
Activation
Move switch A to the ON position.
Deactivation
Move switch A to the OFF position.
Memory retention and speed maintenance
Activate cruise control. Develop the required speed. Press the B key to the SET/- position. After releasing key B from the SET/- position, the stored speed is maintained without pressing the gas pedal.
Changing the stored speed
Increase speed with key B
Press the B key to the RES/+ position. By holding the key in the RES/+ position, the speed is continuously increased. Release the key when the desired speed is reached. In this case, the new speed value will be written to memory.
Decrease speed with key B
By pressing key B to the position SET7-stored speed value can be reduced. While holding the key in the ZET / - position, the speed is constantly decreasing. Release the key when the desired speed is reached. In this case, the new speed value will be written to memory. If you release the key at a speed of less than 25 km / h, the speed value is not stored, and the contents of the memory are erased. It is necessary to save the speed again after it exceeds 25 km/h by pressing the B key in the SET/- position.
Increasing speed with the gas pedal
Step on the gas pedal. After releasing the pedal, the speed decreases to the value recorded in the memory.
Reducing speed with the brake pedal
The speed can be reduced by depressing the brake pedal, which will temporarily disable the system.
Temporary shutdown
Cruise control can be temporarily disabled by moving switch A to the spring-loaded CANCEL position or depressing the brake pedal. The memorized speed is saved. To restore the set speed after releasing the brake pedal, briefly press the button B to the RES / + position.
