Carefully! If after activation of the system a warning signal is given for about 3 seconds, and there are no obstacles near the vehicle, this indicates a malfunction of the system.
Additionally, a malfunction is signaled by the flashing of the symbol in the key. The Infotainment display shows the symbol «1» or... .
Contact the service station. For the system to work properly, the sensors must be clean (without ice, etc.). Adverse weather conditions (heavy rain, fog, very low or very high temperatures, etc.) may interfere with the normal operation of the system. Additional equipment, such as a bicycle carrier, may interfere with the operation of the parking aid.
Note: The front parking aid signals are by default higher in tone than the rear parking aid signals. If not all areas around the vehicle are displayed when the system is switched on, the vehicle must drive a few meters forward or backward. If the system is activated and the automatic transmission selector is in position P (vehicle cannot move), the buzzer stops and obstacles are not displayed.
Range of sensors/system keys
Infotainment display: Trajectory display/thumbnail display
parking assistant (hereinafter briefly: the system) only works when the ignition is on. The system assists the driver with acoustic signals or an image on the Infotainment display when parking and maneuvering. Using ultrasonic waves, the system calculates the distance from the bumper to the obstacle. Ultrasonic sensors are installed in the rear or front bumpers.
Description for the figure - approximate range of the sensors (cm)
When the distance to the obstacle decreases, the interval between sound signals is reduced. Starting from a distance of about 30 cm, the signal becomes continuous - a danger zone. From this moment on, stop moving). The length of the vehicle can be increased when installing a detachable tow hitch. Therefore, the danger zone for a vehicle with a standard tow hitch begins at a distance of approximately 35 cm.
Activation/deactivation
The system is activated automatically when reverse gear is engaged, or by pressing the key.
The symbol lights up in the key, activation is confirmed by a short beep. The parking aid switches off together with reverse gear, by pressing a button or automatically when the speed exceeds 10 km/h (the icon in the key goes out). On vehicles equipped with rear sensors only, the system can only be deactivated by disengaging reverse gear.
Trailer operation
For vehicles with standard hitch, when towing a trailer, only zones A and B of the system are active, and the trajectory is not displayed.
Automatic activation of the system when moving forward
Automatic activation occurs at speeds below approx. 10 km/h under the following conditions: the distance to the obstacle in front is less than 90 cm, the distance to the obstacle behind is less than 30 cm, the distance to the obstacle to the side of the vehicle is less than 30 cm. After switching on, in the left part of the display Infotainment displays the following - fig. 8. Audible signals start at a distance of approx. 50 cm from an obstacle. The automatic display function can be activated or deactivated in the Infotainment system.
Trajectory display
The display of the predicted driving path changes depending on the turn of the steering wheel A. Obstacles that are on the driving path are displayed in the following colors: red - the distance to the obstacle is less than 30 cm, yellow - the distance to the obstacle is more than 30 cm. Obstacles that are not on the driving path, are displayed in the following colors: red - distance to an obstacle is less than 30 cm, white - distance to an obstacle is more than 30 cm. The forward path is displayed when the forward gear or neutral gear is engaged, or when the selector is set to position N. The reverse path is displayed, when reverse gear is engaged, or when the selector is in position R.
