Anti-slip system (ASR) must be on at all times while parking.
System basics
Measuring and evaluating the size of free space while driving. Determining the correct position of the car for parking. Calculation of the trajectory along which the car will drive into the parking space in reverse and leave it in front. Automatic turning of the front wheels when parking or leaving a parking space.
Attention! Under adverse conditions, the system will not even be able to recognize objects or people. When parking or leaving a parking space, the system automatically rotates the steering wheel quickly. When doing this, make sure that your hands do not get into the space between the steering wheel spokes - risk of injury! When parking and leaving a parking space on loose or slippery surfaces (gravel, snow, ice, etc.) the vehicle may deviate from the calculated trajectory. In such cases, it is recommended to stop using the system. If other vehicles are parked behind or on the curb, the system can park your vehicle on the curb as well. Make sure that the tires or rims of your vehicle are not damaged. take prompt action if necessary. Some surfaces or structures (metal mesh, snow pellets, etc.) may not be recognized by the system. Adverse weather conditions (heavy rain, fog, very low or very high temperatures, etc.) may interfere with the normal operation of the system. The assessment of the suitability of a parking space and the parking process depend on the circumference of the wheels. The system works normally only when tires of the size approved by the manufacturer are installed on the vehicle. If wheels other than those recommended by the manufacturer are installed, the final position of the vehicle in the parking space may change slightly. This can be corrected by recalibrating the system at the workshop. In some cases, the system may not work correctly if the vehicle is fitted with wheels of an unauthorized size, with snow chains or a spare (dokatnoe) wheel.
Finding a parking space
System Keys/Display Indications
The search for a suitable parking space is also carried out when the display is switched off. If the display was switched on by pressing the button after driving past a suitable parking space, the system still analyzes and displays it.
Finding a parking space parallel to the road
Move along the line of parked vehicles at a speed of no more than 40 km/h at a distance of 0.5-1.5 m. Press the key once.
The display shows a message - fig. IN.
Finding a parking space perpendicular to the road
Move along the line of parked vehicles at a speed of no more than 20 km/h at a distance of 0.5-1.5 m. Press the key twice.
The display shows a message - fig. C. The display will automatically show the parking space search area on the front passenger side. Turn on the turn signal on the driver's side if you want to park on that side of the road. The display will show the search area for a parking space on the driver's side. When the sensors detect a suitable parking space, its parameters are stored in the system memory until another place is found, or until a distance of 10 m is passed from the found parking space. If you want to change the parking mode while searching for a parking space, press the key again
Note: When the symbol appears on the display (km/h) it is necessary to reduce the speed below 40 km/h (parking along the road) or below 20 km/h (parking across the road).
Parking
Display Information
A. Parking spot found, request to drive ahead
B. Parking space found, request to engage reverse gear
C. Requirement to engage forward gear
D. Requirement to engage reverse gear
Autopilot parking time limit is 6 minutes. If the parking pilot has detected a suitable parking space, this parking space is shown on the display. Drive forward until an image appears on the display. Stop and make sure that the vehicle does not move forward before starting the parking process, Engage reverse gear or move the selector lever to position R. As soon as the following message appears on the display: «M» Auth. taxiing. Keep an eye on the situation!, you can release the steering wheel: the system will steer itself. Keep an eye on the immediate surroundings of the vehicle and carefully move back. If parking in one step is not possible, continue parking in several stages. When the forward arrow starts flashing on the display, select 1st gear or move the selector to position D, the display shows the symbol (brake pedal) . Depress the brake pedal and wait until the steering wheel automatically turns to the required position and the symbol goes out. Move forward carefully. When an arrow pointing backwards flashes on the display, engage reverse gear or move the selector to position R. The display shows the symbol (brake pedal). Depress the brake pedal and wait until the steering wheel automatically turns to the required position and the symbol goes out. Move back carefully. You may need to repeat these steps several times in a row. As soon as the vehicle is parked, an audible signal will sound and the display will show the message:
«M» A park. autopilot completed. work. Take control!
Automatic interrupt
The system interrupts the parking process when any of the following events occur: during the parking process, the speed of 7 km/h is repeatedly exceeded, the time limit of 6 minutes for the parking process is exceeded, the system key is pressed, the ASR system is turned off, the driver intervenes in the automatic control process (turns the steering wheel by itself), while reversing into a parking space, the reverse gear is disengaged or the selector lever is moved out of position R, the selector lever is set to position P, a malfunction in the system (the system is temporarily unavailable), automatic braking to minimize damage. If any of the above cases occurs, the following message appears on the display - fig.
Departure from the parking space parallel to the roadway
Press the key once.
Turn on the direction indicators on the side you intend to leave the parking space. Engage reverse gear or move the selector lever to position R. As soon as the following message appears on the display: «M» Auth. taxiing. Keep an eye on the situation!, you can release the steering wheel: the system will steer itself. Keep an eye on the immediate surroundings of the vehicle and carefully move back. Follow the system prompts on the display. As soon as the car leaves the parking space, a beep will sound, and the display will show the message:
«M» Take control. and keep moving.
Automatic interrupt
The system interrupts the exit process from a parking space when any of the following events occur: during the process of exiting a parking space, the speed is exceeded 7 km / h, the system key is pressed, the ASR system is turned off, the driver intervenes in the automatic control process (turns the steering wheel by itself), system failure (the system is temporarily unavailable), automatic braking to minimize damage.
Automatic braking
The system supports the driver with automatic braking in front of an obstacle. Automatic braking does not relieve the driver of the responsibility for controlling the accelerator, brake and clutch pedals.
Automatic deceleration to prevent process interruption due to overspeed
Automatic braking can be performed to ensure that the speed does not exceed 7 km/h when parking or leaving a parking lot. After automatic braking, the parking process can be continued. Automatic braking is performed only once during the parking process.
Automatic braking to reduce damage
If, based on the vehicle speed and the distance to the obstacle, the system detects a risk of collision, the vehicle brakes automatically. After this automatic braking to reduce damage, the operation of the system is terminated.
Attention! The automatic braking function works only as an auxiliary system, the driver must always be ready to stop the car himself. The automatic braking mode ends after approx. 1.5 s. Press the brake pedal to prevent the vehicle from moving on its own.
