Note: If the light switch fails, the dipped beam will automatically turn on. The headlights may fog up from the inside for a while. When the headlight is turned on, the light passage area is quickly cleared of fogging, but sometimes fogging persists for a while at the edges of the lens. This fogging does not affect the life of the lighting fixtures. When the side lights, dipped beam or main beam are turned on, the illumination of the instrument cluster is also turned on. The brightness of the instrument cluster illumination is set in the Infotainment system.

3. The driver's seat is occupied, the luggage compartment is loaded
Attention! The headlight range must always be adjusted so that the following requirements are met. The headlights of the car do not dazzle the drivers of other vehicles, especially in the opposite direction. The lighting range is sufficient for safe driving. It is recommended to adjust the position of the headlights with the dipped beam on. After switching on the ignition and while driving, the bi-xenon headlights automatically adjust to the degree of load and the driving mode of the vehicle. Vehicles with bi-xenon headlights are not equipped with a manual headlight range control. The dipped beam is on when the ignition is on and the light mode switch is in the or AUTO position. After switching off the ignition, the dipped beam automatically turns off, and only the side lights remain on. The side lights turn off when the key is removed from the ignition switch.

The light turns off when the auto-wiper function or the wipers (in position 2 or 3) do not work for about four minutes. The automatic light switch-on in the event of rain can be activated or deactivated in the Infotainment system.
Adaptive headlights (AFS)
The AFS adaptive lighting system works in conjunction with the AUTO lighting control function, so you should also read the following information. The AFS system provides the driver with road lighting depending on traffic and weather conditions. The system adapts the shape of the light cone of the headlights in front of the vehicle depending on the speed of the vehicle, the operation of the windshield wipers, the fog lights and the information from the Infotainment navigation system. The AFS system only works when the following condition is met: the light switch is in the AUTO position. The AFS system operates in the following modes.
Country mode
The shape of the light cone of the headlights in front of the vehicle is close to the shape of the dipped beam cone. This mode is activated if the following modes are not activated.
City mode
The light cone in front of the vehicle has been adapted so that it captures adjacent sidewalks, intersections, pedestrian crossings, etc. This mode is active at a speed of 15-50 km/h.
Motorway mode
The light cone of the headlights in front of the vehicle is adapted in such a way that the driver can react in a timely manner to an obstacle or other danger. The mode is active at speeds above 110 km/h.
Rain mode

This mode is activated at a speed of 50-90 km / h, if the wipers have been running continuously for more than 2 minutes. The mode is deactivated when the wipers are not operated for more than eight minutes.
Fog mode
The light cone of the headlights in front of the vehicle is adapted so that the driver is not dazzled by the headlights reflecting off the fog. This mode is activated at a speed of 15-70 km / h and if the rear fog lamp is on for more than 10 seconds. The mode is turned off when the rear fog light is turned off for more than 5 seconds.
Dynamic adaptive lighting
The light cone of the headlights in front of the vehicle is adapted in such a way that the carriageway in the cornering area is illuminated. This function is active at speeds above 10 km/h and in all modes of the AFS system.
Attention! In the event of a malfunction of the AFS adaptive lighting system, the headlights are automatically set to an emergency position to prevent dazzling oncoming drivers. As a result, the range of the light cone of the headlights in front of the vehicle is reduced! Therefore, drive carefully and contact a workshop immediately. When you select the Eco driving mode, the AFS system is deactivated.
High beam assistant
Control lever
The high beam assistant automatically switches the high beam on and off depending on the ambient conditions. The high beam is adjusted based on data recorded by a camera located between the windshield and the interior rearview mirror. The high beam assist function can be switched on and off in the Infotainment system. The high beam can turn on automatically at speeds above 60 km/h. It automatically turns off when the speed drops below 30 km/h. When the assistant automatically turns on the high beam, the counter lights up in the instrument cluster. lamp.
Activation
Turn the light switch to the AUTO position. Move the lever to position A (spring loaded position). Contr. appears on the display of the instrument cluster. pictogram of the active high beam assistant.
