Engine compartment: windshield washer reservoir
The washer reservoir is located in the engine compartment and contains washer fluid for the windshield and/or rear window and headlights. The capacity of the reservoir is approx. 3 l, for vehicles with headlight washer - approx. 4.7 l. Clean water is not enough to effectively clean windows and headlights. Therefore, it is recommended to use a mixture of clean water and glass cleaner (in winter - with non-freezing cleaning agent) to remove stubborn dirt. In winter, anti-freeze fluid must be added to the washer fluid, even if the vehicle is equipped with heated washer jets. If it is not possible to use a glass cleaner with frost protection, alcohol can be used. The proportion of alcohol in this case should be no more than 15%. At this concentration, frost protection is only guaranteed down to -5°C.
