Release the air hoses at the air connection. Disconnect connector -1-. 2 Unlock catches -arrows- and remove air duct.
Press the latches and disconnect the hose -1- for the adsorber. Unscrew screws -arrows- and detach crankcase breather hose.
Unhook wiring harness -arrows-. Unscrew screws -1, 3- and remove guard -2- for toothed belt of coolant pump.
Unhook wiring harness -1- and hose -2-.
Loosen clamps -arrows- and detach coolant hoses.
Loosen and remove bolts in sequence from -5- to -1-. Remove coolant pump with toothed belt. When replacing the coolant pump, remove the thermostat housing.
Installation
Note: Replace seals -arrows-. When replacing the coolant pump, also replace the toothed belt. Fasten the hose connections with clamps corresponding to those installed at the factory.
Make sure seals -arrows- are seated correctly. Lightly moisten the pump seal with coolant.
Carefully! The subsequent work steps for installing the coolant pump must be carried out in the sequence shown. Otherwise, the correct toothed belt tension will not be ensured. It is recommended that the following work steps be carried out by two people, with the help of a second mechanic.
When replacing the coolant pump, also replace the toothed belt. Set the crankshaft to the TDC position of the first cylinder. Position the toothed belt in the middle, bring the coolant pump into installation position. Install the coolant pump with the mounting screws on the cylinder head. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
Loosen all screws 1 turn. Fit torque wrench -VAS 6583- with 10 -position hexagon socket to coolant pump. 6-. Apply a torque of 30 Nm to the hexagon socket of the coolant pump in a clockwise direction using the appropriate 10 mm socket -6- with extension and the torque wrench -VAS 6583-. For convenience, hold the torque wrench -VAS 6583- vertically.
Note: Do not hold the torque wrench with the other hand. To avoid over tightening the belt, do not exceed the force of the torque wrench.
Hold the coolant pump with preload. At this time, the second mechanic pre-tightens the coolant pump fixing screws clockwise in sequence from right to left, starting with screws -2-, -1 - and -5- 3rd stage, to a torque of 10 Nm. Then tighten the fastening screws according to the 4th step.

Installation in reverse order. Fill up the coolant.
Removing and installing electric coolant pump V51-
Open cap -arrow- of expansion tank. Remove soundproof cover. Disconnect connector -1-. Position crane tray -VAS 6208-. Clamp the coolant hoses at the coolant priming pump after switching off. engine -V51- with clamps -3094-. Loosen clamps -3- and detach coolant hoses. Remove screw -2- and remove coolant circulation pump after switching off engine -V51-.
Installation
Installation in reverse order. Fix all hose connections with clamps corresponding to those installed at the factory. Install soundproof cover. Check coolant level.
