Compression test

The engine oil temperature must be at least 30°C. The battery voltage is not lower than 12.7 V. Remove the ignition coils with power output stages. Disconnect electrical connectors.



1. For injectors -N30...N33-
2. Injectors 2 -N532...N535-

Remove spark plugs using spark plug wrench -3122 B-. Check compression pressure using compression pressure tester -VAG 1763- and adapter -VAG 1763/6-. Engage the starter with the help of a 2nd mechanic at wide open throttle until the control device no longer registers an increase in pressure.

Compression amount

If the specified values are not achieved, check the combustion chamber for leaks. Installation in reverse order. Install spark plugs. Install ignition coils. At the end of the work, erase the fault codes in the event recorder of the engine control unit, because. they were recorded when the connector was disconnected.
