Replace the O-ring for the gearshift rod

Remove the selector lever cable from the gearbox. Loosen the nut - see arrow - shift control shaft. Carefully lift lever -A- off the selector shaft and remove it.



Pry off and remove the O-ring.

Lubricate the new O-ring around the outer perimeter with oil. Half fill the space between the seal and dust lips with sealant.

Note: Inscription - see arrow - on the sealing ring should look outward (towards the pressing tool).

Press in new sealing ring until it stops. In doing so, do not distort the sealing ring.

Note: The gear lever only engages in one gear position.

Install the shift lever and tighten the screws to the specified torque. Install the selector lever cable to the gearbox. Adjust selector lever cable on gearbox.
