Check of tightness of the main brake cylinder

1. Unscrew the bleeder valve on one of the front brake calipers.

2. Connect and bleed the pressure gauge of the tester (V.A.G 1310) or (VAG 1310 A).

3. Load the brake pedal until the pressure gauge of the tester shows a value of 5 MPa (50 bar).

Note. It is impossible for the pressure to drop by more than 0.4 MPa during a test lasting 45 seconds (4 bar).

4. If the pressure drop is greater than 0.4MPa (4 bar), then the brake master cylinder needs to be replaced.
