Removing
1. Remove rear wheel assembly.
2. Move the parking brake lever in the direction of the arrow and disconnect the parking brake cable from it, as shown in the figure below.
3. Compress the parking brake cable clamps and remove the cable from the mounting bracket as shown in the figure below.
4. Remove the locking screws from the disc wheel brake caliper support; while holding the guide pins.
5. Remove the disc brake caliper, hook it with a wire so that it does not exert any load on the brake hose with its weight.
6. Remove friction linings and retaining springs (arrows).
7. Clean the disc brake caliper; The surface to which the friction linings are to be bonded must not be left with adhesive or grease residues.
Note. Use only alcohol to clean the disc brake caliper.
Installation
Note. Before proceeding with pressing, the brake fluid must be bled from the expansion tank using a bleeder.
1. Press the piston into the disc brake caliper by turning the knurled handwheel of the back adjuster (Т10165). Do not damage the cuff. In case of difficulty in moving the piston, it is possible to apply on the platforms provided for this purpose (A) wrench with open end.
Note. As a result of pressing the piston with the help of a re-adjustment device, the automatic adjustment of the piston in the disc brake caliper is canceled.
2. Install new friction linings and spring clips (arrows) into the caliper support.
3. Remove the protective film from the back of the friction lining.
4. Fix the disc brake caliper with new self-locking screws. When tightening, hold the guide pins.
Note. The kit also includes four self-locking screws that must be used.
5. Insert and fix the parking brake cable bushing (arrows) into the mounting bracket as shown in the figure below. Insert the bushing until a characteristic click of the latches.
6. Move the parking brake lever in the direction of the arrow and connect the parking brake cable to it as shown in the figure below.
7. Press the brake pedal several times while the vehicle is stationary.
8. Adjust the parking brake lever.
9. Install wheels.
Note. After replacing the friction linings, the brake fluid level should be checked and, if necessary, corrected.
