Extrusion
1. Remove the lower front suspension arm assembly.
2. Install and secure the lower arm in a vise as shown in the figure below.
3. Using a set of special tools, press the front silent block out of the lower arm of the front suspension, as shown in the figure below.
Pressing
1. Insert a new silent block into the glass of the MPZ-414 special tool. When installing the silent block in a special device, make sure that it is not skewed to avoid damage during installation. In the process of pressing, make sure that the silent block is installed evenly.
2. Apply a small amount of special lubricant (G 294 421 A1) on the outer metal part of the silent block.
3. Press the silent block into the lower arm of the front suspension using a set of special tools, as shown in the figure below.
4. After pressing, make sure that the protrusion of the silent block (distances a and b) both sides are identical, as shown in the figure below. If necessary, it is allowed to gently move the silent block using the same set of special tools to install it properly.
Note. Pressing out the rear silent block of the lower arm of the front suspension is carried out using a hydraulic press and a suitable tool.
Pressing the rear silent block
Mounting marks (2) must be on the same axis as the label (1). Technological cutout of the rubber part of the silent block (3) must be directed towards the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, as shown in the figure below.
1. Be extremely careful when installing the rear silent block on the lever before pressing it in.
Note. Before starting pressing, apply a special lubricant to the outer metal ring of the silent block (acid-free) (G294 421 A1). Do not use any other lubricant!
2. Press, using a set of special tools, a new silent block into the lower arm of the rear suspension, as shown in the figure below.
