Attention.
- Batteries with a colorless or light yellow eye should not be monitored or charged. These batteries need to be replaced.
- During battery charging, voltage measurement and measurement with current load, the battery plugs must always be screwed in well so that they really seal well.
- Do not use open flames or smoke in rooms where batteries are being charged. This is because flammable gas is produced during battery charging.
- Frozen batteries must be replaced.
Note.
- Necessary special devices, control and measuring devices, as well as auxiliary means:
- Workshop device for charging car batteries, e.g. -VAS5900-, -VAS 5903-, -VAS 5095A- or -VAS 5901-.
Note.
- Batteries can only be charged with the manufacturer's recommended chargers.
- Before using the charger, you should thoroughly read the instruction manual for its maintenance and act accordingly during charging.
- The battery temperature must be at least 10°C.
Carrying out battery charging
1. After turning off all electrical consumers, remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. Open the battery cover.
3. Connect the positive battery charger lead to the positive battery terminal.
Attention. For vehicles with "START-STOP" and installed battery monitoring control unit -J367- terminal (black) charger must be connected to body ground. If connected to the negative battery terminal after charging, system failure may occur "START-STOP".
4. Connect the negative battery charger lead to the negative battery terminal.
5. Turn on the battery charger.

6. Unlock -arrow- the cover -3- of the additional positive terminal of the battery in the engine compartment and open it.
7. Connect the positive cable of the battery charger -1- to the additional positive battery terminal -2-.
8. Connect the negative cable of the battery charger -4- to the earth point in the engine compartment (e.g. -5- or load-bearing engine lug).
9. Turn on the battery charger.
