3. Speedometer.
4. Coolant temperature gauge.
5. Display modes key: Hours/minutes setting, second speed activation/deactivation in mph or km/h, service interval indicator - indication of the number of days and kilometers remaining until the next service.
6. Keys: resetting the daily mileage counter, resetting the maintenance indicator.
Tachometer
The beginning of the red sector of the tachometer scale indicates for all gears the maximum allowable speed for a run-in and warm engine. Before reaching this sector, shift to the next higher gear or select position D of the automatic transmission selector lever. It is necessary to switch to a lower gear as soon as the car stops moving smoothly, evenly. During break-in, avoid high vehicle engine speeds.
Attention. The needle of the tachometer nm must never fall into the red field of the tachometer scale - risk of engine damage!
Coolant temperature gauge
Low temperature zone
While the pointer is on the left side of the scale, the engine has not yet warmed up to its operating temperature. Avoid driving at high engine speeds, at full throttle, and do not put heavy load on the engine.
Working temperature zone
At that moment, when the pointer arrow falls into the middle section of the scale, the engine has reached its operating temperature. With increased engine load and elevated outside temperatures, the pointer needle may deviate more to the right. Such a deviation is not significant until then. until the warning symbol flashes on the instrument panel.
Attention. Additional headlights and other additional parts installed in front of the fresh air intake holes in the engine compartment impair cooling efficiency.
Fuel gauge
The fuel gauge only works when the ignition is on.
Fuel tank capacity - about 55 liters (for a car with all-wheel drive - about 60 liters). At that moment, when the pointer arrow falls to the fuel reserve area, a warning symbol will light up on the instrument panel. At the moment, about 8 liters of fuel remain in the fuel tank. This symbol reminds you to refuel.
The information display shows: Please refuel (refuel).
An audible alarm also sounds as a warning signal (1 short beep).
Attention. Never use the fuel tank completely! Irregular supply of fuel to the fuel supply system can lead to misfiring or ignitions in the engine. Unburned fuel can enter the exhaust system and cause damage to the catalytic converter.
Speedometer
Overspeed alarm.
If the speed exceeds 120 km/h, an audible alarm warns you of this fact. If the speed drops below this limit, the audible alarm - overspeed is turned off.
Note. This feature only applies to certain countries.
Distance meter
The distance traveled is indicated in kilometers (km). For some versions, it is used as a unit of measure "mile''.
When the ignition is off, the display shows the counter of the total distance traveled. After the ignition is switched on, the indication of the daily trip counter appears on the display. The counters can then be switched with the reset button.
Daily trip counter (trip)
The daily trip meter records the distance traveled by the vehicle since the last reset, in steps of 100 m or 1/10 mile, respectively.
Fault indication
If there is any malfunction in the instrument panel, then the constantly displayed indication Error will appear on the display of the daily trip meter. Have the fault repaired as soon as possible at a specialized workshop.
Attention. For safety reasons, do not reset the daily trip meter while the vehicle is moving, but only when the vehicle is stationary!
Note. On vehicles without a multi-function indicator or with an information display, the display shows the readings of both counters at the same time.
Maintenance indicator
The display may differ depending on the vehicle equipment.
Service interval indicator
Approximately 15 days before the due date of the next service inspection, the odometer display shows the key symbol Next to the key symbol is displayed for I0 sec. an indication of the remaining number of kilometers, and then for 10 seconds - an indication of the remaining number of days until the next service inspection.
The information display shows:
«Service in... km or days (Service after... km or... days)»
The indication in kilometers and, accordingly, in the time remaining until the next service inspection, decreases gradually in steps of 100 km and in 1 day, respectively. Once the due date for the service inspection has been reached. a flashing key symbol appears on the display.
The information display shows:
"Service now (Service maintenance - now!)»
The display disappears approximately 20 seconds after the ignition is switched on. The readings of the daily trip counter can also be called up by pressing the reset button of the daily trip counter for longer than 1 second.
Display of the number of kilometers in and days remaining until the next service inspection
The number of kilometers and days left until the next service inspection can be represented at any time as follows:
Turn on the ignition and press the reset button. A key symbol appears on the odometer display. Next to the key symbol is displayed for 10 seconds. indication of the remaining number of kilometers and then for 10 seconds. - an indication of the remaining number of days until the next service inspection.
Resetting the service interval indicator
It is recommended to reset the readings at a specialized service station.
Specialized service station:
- reset the contents of the memory pointer after the implementation of the appropriate inspection;
- make an entry in the Service Book;
- stick a sticker on the side of the instrument panel on the driver's side, where the date of the next service inspection is marked.
It is also possible to reset the service interval indicator using the reset button as follows:
With the ignition off, press the reset button and keep it pressed. With the ignition on, release the reset button and turn it to the right. As a result of the above, the indication is reset.
Attention. It is not recommended to reset the service interval indicator yourself, otherwise there may be an erroneous setting of the service interval, as a result of which various kinds of malfunctions may appear on the car.
Note:
- In the interval between service inspections, never reset the pointer, otherwise you may get distorted readings.
- When the battery is disconnected, the values of the service ID indicator will be retained.
- If the instrument panel was replaced as part of the repair, the service interval indicator must be recoded. This operation is carried out at specialized service stations. After resetting the gauge with extended variable service intervals using the reset button, the data is displayed in the same way as for vehicles with precisely defined extended service intervals. For this reason, it is recommended that the service interval be reset only at a service station where a correct reset is performed using a diagnostic tool.
