Removing
Note. The engine must be completely cool.
1. Open the cap of the expansion tank to relieve excess pressure in the cooling system.
2. Remove the air filter assembly (for details, see the relevant section in chapter Intake and exhaust system).
3. Remove the soundproofing cover.
4. Unscrew the fastening screw (1) from the air outlet, release the fastening clamps (2) or (3), as shown in the figure below.
5. Unscrew the fastening screw (arrow) air outlet as shown in the figure below.
6. Disconnect shown in the figure below (arrow), connecting pipe, if possible, from a vibration damper.
7. Move the left air outlet to the left.
8. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (4) from the coolant temperature sensor, as shown in the figure below.
Note.
- Place a container under the connection to collect the escaping coolant.
- Replace the temperature sensor with a new sensor along with a new O-ring.
9. Remove retaining clip (3), pull the coolant temperature sensor to remove it from the fitting body, as shown in the figure below. Install a new sensor.
10. Check the coolant level in the cooling system. If necessary, add the required amount of coolant (more, see the relevant section in this chapter).
11. Next, the installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
