Removing
1. Remove the soundproofing cover.
2. Loosen the mounting clamp and disconnect the right air inlet pipe from the intercooler as shown in the figure below.
3. Unscrew the fastening screws (arrows), shown in the figure below.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the charge air pressure sensor together with the intake air temperature sensor, as shown in the figure below.
5. Release the clamp (2), shown in the figure below, and then pull and disconnect the engine air inlet pipe.
Note. When disconnecting the coolant recirculation pump, coolant may leak out; therefore, before disconnecting, place a clean rag under the pump.
6. Disconnect the water hoses from the recirculation pump (2) together with mounting clamps, as shown in the figure below.
7. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (5), shown in the figure below.
8. If necessary, disconnect the cable harness guide from the pump holder.
9. Unscrew the fastening screws (4), shown in the figure below, then remove the recirculation pump (3).
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note.
- Eliminates the ingress of oil products on the pipes and hoses of the intake system.
- Fix all hoses and pipes using new clamps and clamps.
Check the coolant level in the system, top up if necessary (for details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
