Note.
- Necessary special devices, control and measuring devices, as well as auxiliary means:
- Clamping tool -T10172-.
Removing
1. Remove the oil pan (for details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
2. Remove the oil pump chain sprocket cover (A), shown in the figure below.
3. Hold oil pump chain sprocket with holding tool -T10172-.
4. Loosen the chain sprocket fixing screw as shown in the figure below.
Note. Do not completely unscrew the fastening screw.
5. Press the chain tensioner with a screwdriver (in the direction of the arrow).
6. Unscrew the fixing screw of the chain sprocket.
7. Remove the chain sprocket from the oil pump and from the chain as shown in the figure below.
8. Unscrew the screws securing the oil pump (arrows), shown in the figure below.
9. Remove the oil pump from the cylinder block assembly.
Installation
1. Press the chain tensioner with a screwdriver (in the direction of the arrow), as shown in the figure below.
2. Install the chain sprocket into the chain and then onto the oil pump shaft.
3. Verify that the chain sprocket on the oil pump shaft (arrow) installed properly. as shown in the picture below.
4. Screw in a new chain sprocket fixing screw.
5. Hold the chain sprocket with clamping tool -T10172- shown in the figure below.
6. Install torque wrench (A), as shown in the figure below.
7. Tighten the fixing screw with a torque of 20 Nm and turn an additional 90° (¼ turn).
8. Install the oil pump chain sprocket cover (A), as shown in the figure below.
9. Install the oil pan.
