Headlight adjustment

1. Before you start headlight adjustment, do the following:

• place the car on a horizontal surface;
• replace damaged diffusers and mirrors, as well as blackened incandescent lamps;
• check and, if necessary, correct the tire pressure;
• make sure the car is not overloaded (has a curb weight, and on the driver's seat there is a load of 75 kg);
• check the correct installation of the headlights relative to the hood (gaps, see Specifications for Chapter 11);
• turn on the low beam and turn the headlight range control a few times (if available) to extreme values, then return it to the position "0";
• set the screen for adjustment along the longitudinal axis of the car parallel to the plane on which the car is standing. Set the screen to the headlight adjustment value (e);
• on models with xenon headlights, clear the fault memory and apply the basic headlight adjustment settings.

2. When adjusting the headlights, the border of light and shadow should be on the horizontal line of the screen (1 per resist. illustrations), and the point (2) the intersection of the horizontal and sloping boundaries must be on the same vertical line with the center point (3). After correct adjustment, the center of the dipped beam should be on the center point (3). When using old adjustment screens with a 15°inclined line, it should be neglected.

Note: To help identify the tipping point, have an assistant close and open the left side of the headlight several times.

3. To adjust the headlight on its upper side, there are screws (see resist. illustration). First adjust the headlight height by turning the screw (1), and then adjust the headlight horizontally by turning the screw (2).



4. When adjusting the fog lights, the border of light and shadow should be on the horizontal line of the screen (see resist. illustration).



5. A screw is used to adjust the height of the fog lamp (see resist. illustration). There is no transverse adjustment. The tilt value for the fog lamp is -2.2%.
