12.16 Removable lamp/lantern in luggage compartment
Note: Protect the luminaire from moisture. If the lamp is not inserted into the holder correctly, it will not light up when the luggage compartment is opened and the batteries will not be charged.
To increase the volume of the luggage compartment, the backrests and / or rear seat cushions can be folded individually (see Section 9). In some configurations, the back of the rear seats is equipped with a sunroof (see illustration 12.17a), in which you can install a ski bag. The hatch cover can be opened both from the passenger compartment (after folding the center rear armrest, pull the handle up and lower the cover down), and from the luggage compartment (move button (A) down and fold the cover together with the armrest forward). After closing the hatch, make sure that its cover is securely fixed: the red field above the button (A) should not be visible. The removable bag is designed to carry up to four pairs of skis with a total weight of up to 17 kg. Open hatch to load skis (see above) and place the empty bag between the front and rear seats so that the end with the zipper is in the luggage compartment. Then put the skis in the bag with the front ends back and close it with a zipper. Tighten the strap to secure the skis (And in illustration 12.17b) behind the free end around the skis in front of the ski mounts, fold the seat back slightly forward and guide the lashing strap (IN) through the hatch in the back of the seat around the top of the back. Then tilt the seatback back until the lock button clicks into place, check that the backrest is fixed (try to pull it forward) and insert the strap (IN) to the castle (WITH) to the click. In vehicles equipped with a separating net, route the lashing strap (IN) past the body of the coiled separating mesh (when fixing the dividing grid, it is impossible to unwind it). Dry the bag after use.

On the side trim of the luggage compartment can be located: 12 Volt socket (see illustration 12.18), removable lamp (see above), luggage hooks and storage compartments. The right storage compartment can accommodate a CD changer, TV set, first aid kit and warning triangle, while the left storage compartment of the Superb models can accommodate an additional battery. On Superb models, the stowage compartments are closed with lids, which can be removed by turning the latches (see illustration 12.19a). On Superb Combi models, the right storage compartment is closed with a lid (see illustration 12.19b), and the left one is open. If necessary, the wall of the left storage compartment can be removed by pulling it up (see illustration 12.19c). On some models, the warning triangle is stored in the luggage compartment sill trim (see illustration 12.19d).

For luggage hooks (see illustration 12.20a) can be hooked to slings or luggage nets (see illustrations 12.20b-c). Luggage nets are stored in the side storage compartments. The maximum allowable load for side nets is 1.5 kg. Top hooks (And in the illustration 12.20s) designed only for attaching luggage nets. Drop hooks (see illustration 12.20d) for bags, etc. weighing up to 7.5 kg are located on both walls of the luggage compartment.

There is a loop on the luggage compartment floor (Superb) or hook (Superb Combi), which, when the floor covering is raised (e.g. when changing a wheel) can be attached to the hook on the luggage compartment shelf (Superb) or behind the tailgate frame (Superb Combi), - see illustration 12.21.
12.21 Fixing the raised floor covering
Depending on the equipment, a spare wheel, an on-board tool kit or a tire repair kit can be stored under the floor (see Introduction).
In the baggage stack (see illustration 12.22) Superb models can carry light items with a total weight of up to 1.5 kg.

From above, the luggage compartment is closed either by a shelf (on Superb models), or curtain (on Superb Combi models). Do not allow luggage to rub against the rear window or rear side windows, otherwise the antennas and/or rear window heating elements may be damaged. On the luggage compartment shelf (behind the headrests) only light soft objects can be placed. The shelf rises / falls along with the entire tailgate. If you need to transport high luggage, the shelf can be removed. To do this, unfasten (1 in illustration 12.23), place the shelf in a horizontal position and remove from the bracket (2) horizontally back. The removed shelf can be stored behind the back of the rear seat. To unwind the luggage cover, pull it all the way to the locked position (2 in illustration 12.24). To rewind the curtain, press it in the area of the handle in the direction of the arrow (3), - the blind will automatically roll up to the position (1). When pressed again, the curtain will retract completely. To completely remove the shade, press the cross bar from the side in the direction of the arrow (4) and remove the curtain in the direction of the arrow (5).

12.24 Unwind/rewind luggage cover (Superb Combi)
Note: Do not place any objects on the curtain.
In some configurations, a curtain with an electric drive is installed, which automatically retracts into position (1) when opening the tailgate. If the tailgate is suddenly opened, the automatic rewind is blocked for about 2 seconds. The auto rewind function can be enabled/disabled via the menu "Settings>Auto. blind" display in the instrument cluster. The convertible luggage compartment floor makes it easier to handle bulky luggage. The maximum load on the convertible floor is 75 kg. On Combi models, part of the convertible floor can be pulled out above the rear bumper and used only as a seat (for example, to change). When the convertible floor is pulled out, its front edge is simultaneously raised, so small objects can fall into the space between the body and the convertible floor. In addition, on Combi models, the convertible floor comes with a Luggage Attachment/Luggage Divider Kit as well as sliding lashing lugs. If necessary, the transformable floor can be removed. To do this, unlock it by turning the locking lugs (And in illustration 12.25a) to the left by about 90°, fold the floor in the direction of the arrow and remove it. Unlock guides if necessary (IN), by turning the plug-in fixing lugs (WITH) to the right by about 90°. With the help of a transformable floor, the luggage compartment can be divided into parts. To do this, lift the section with the fastening and fix it by inserting it into the grooves (see illustration 12.25b).

On Combi models, a partition net can be installed behind the rear or front seats.
