Speedometer and tachometer

The speedometer shows the vehicle's speed in km/h. On models for some countries, a warning horn sounds at speeds over 120 km/h. The tachometer shows the engine speed in hundreds of rpm and is designed to control engine speed. Do not allow the tachometer needle to move into the solid red zone of the scale (upshift or let off the gas). When the tachometer needle moves into the red zone, engine speed is limited by the engine control unit at a safe level.

Note: The size of the installed tires affects the operation of the car's speedometer, therefore, when installing tires of a different diameter, it is necessary to make changes to the engine management system to correct the speedometer readings and the operation of the ABS / ESP system - contact your Skoda representative.

Note: Upshifting early saves fuel and reduces engine noise. During the break-in period of the vehicle, too high revolutions of the crankshaft should be avoided.
