Removing and installing the battery and its holder

1. Disconnect the negative and then the positive wire from the battery (see Section 11).

2. Turn out bolts of fastening of a cover of an air cleaner (1 per resist. illustrations), fold it aside and cover the air cleaner to prevent dirt from entering it. On models with synthetic soft shell (2) remove it from the battery in an upward direction. Remove the bolt (4), remove the holder (3) and take out the battery.



3. If necessary, turn out the bolts (see resist. illustration) and remove the battery holder.



4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. The battery is installed correctly if the middle notch on its bottom shoulder is opposite the hole in the holder (see resist. illustration). Tighten the battery holder bolts to 9 Nm and the battery bolt to 22 Nm.
