Removing
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. With the vehicle parked on a level surface, set the front wheels to the straight ahead position; Steering wheel center cap must be horizontal.
3. Use a screwdriver to remove the cover from the center of the steering wheel (see photo).
4. Unscrew the steering wheel nut.
5. Check for alignment marks between steering wheel and steering column; if there are no marks, make them yourself (see photo).
6. Grasp the steering wheel with your hands, then shake it and remove it from the grooves of the steering column (see photo). It is allowed to hit the wheel with palms, but not with a hammer.
Installation
7. Make sure the grooves in the steering column are clean, and that the turn signal self-resetting tab is pressed against the back of the steering column, and the clamp screw is horizontal (see photo).
8. Establish a steering wheel, combining labels.
9. Tighten the steering wheel nut with a tightening torque specified specifications (see photo).
10. Install the center cap and connect the negative cable to the battery.
