Battery won't last more than a few days
- Internal battery defect (Section 1 or 12)
- Low electrolyte level in the battery (Section 1).
- Loose or oxidized battery terminal connections (Section 1).
- Alternator drive belt worn or incorrectly tensioned (Section 1).
- The generator does not produce the power required for charging (Section 12).
- Damaged alternator or voltage regulator (Section 12).
- A short circuit can cause the battery to continuously drain (Section 12).
The generator run indicator lamp stays on when the engine is running
- Broken (disturbed) alternator drive belt worn or misadjusted (Section 1).
- Worn, jammed or dirty alternator brushes (Section 12).
- Weak or broken alternator brush spring (Section 12).
- Faulty alternator or voltage regulator (Section 12).
- Broken, disconnected or loose electrical wiring in the charging circuit (Section 12).
The control lamp of work of the generator does not light up
- Lamp burnt out (Section 12).
- Broken, disconnected or loose wiring in the control lamp circuit (Section 12).
- Damaged generator (Section 12).
Flashlight not on
- Bulb burnt out (Section 12).
- Oxidized lamp or socket contacts (Section 12).
- Blown fuse (Section 12).
- Defective relay (Section 12).
- Broken, disconnected or loose electrical wiring (Section 12).
- Defective switch (Section 12).
Inaccurate or erratic meter readings
Reading increases with engine speed
- Defective voltage regulator (Section 12).
Fuel or temperature gauges not showing
- Defective pointer sensor (Section 3 or 4).
- Break in electrical wiring (Section 12).
- The device itself is defective (Section 12).
Fuel or temperature gauges show maximum value
- Defective pointer sensor (Section 3 or 4).
- Short circuit wiring (Section 12).
- The device itself is defective (Section 12).
The sound signal does not work well or does not work at all
Beep works all the time
- The horn key is stuck in the pressed position or its contact is shorted to «mass» (Section 12).
- The wiring from the horn to the key is shorted to «mass» (Section 12).
Sound signal does not work
- Blown fuse (Section 12).
- Loose, broken or disconnected wiring or connections (Section 12).
- Sound signal damaged (Section 12).
The signal sounds intermittent
- Loose wiring connections (Section 12).
- Loose sound horn (Section 12).
- Sound signal damaged (Section 12).
Windshield/rear window wipers not working or not working properly
Windshield wipers do not move or move very slowly
- Brushes stuck to glass or rods jammed (Section 1 or 12).
- Blown fuse (Section 12).
- Broken, disconnected or loose electrical wiring (Section 12).
- Defective relay (Section 12).
- Defective wiper motor (Section 12).
Wiper blades covering too much or too little glass area
- Wiper arms incorrectly placed on axle (Section 12).
- Windshield wiper rod badly worn (Section 12).
- Loose wiper motor or linkage (Section 12).
Wiper blades are inefficient
- Worn brush rubber (Section 1).
- Wiper arm springs broken or rocker arm pivots jammed (Section 12).
- Insufficient glass washer fluid (Section 1).
Windshield/rear window washers do not work or function poorly
One or more washer jets not working
- Jet blocked (Section 12).
- Disconnected, kinked or clogged hose (Section 12).
- Not enough fluid in the washer reservoir (Section 1).
Washer pump not working
- Broken or disconnected wiring or connections (Section 12).
- Blown fuse (Section 12).
- Defective washer switch (Section 12).
- Defective washer pump (Section 12).
The washer pump runs for a while before the jets begin to emit fluid
- Damaged non-return valve in the supply hose (Section 12).
