2. Locate where the cable connects to the clutch lever, which is located on the side of the clutch housing next to the transmission. To adjust the cable, turn the nut on the threaded section until you reach the specified pedal height; turning the nut clockwise will raise the pedal (photo).

3. Check that the clutch pedal moves smoothly and freely throughout its travel and that the clutch is functioning properly without slipping or dragging. If excessive force is required to operate the clutch, check that the cable is routed correctly and not damaged, then remove the pedal and lubricate the pivot shaft; if the cable is worn or damaged, replace it (Section 6).
