Note. If the vehicle is equipped with a driver's airbag, the steering wheel hub pad will be labeled "AIRBAG".
Models not equipped with an airbag
Removing
1. Set the front wheels of the car in a straight line and block the steering column.
2. Using a small flat head screwdriver, carefully pry the horn button out of the steering wheel hub. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the button.
3. Give a nut of fastening of a steering wheel. Remove the puck.
4. Mark position of a wheel concerning a shaft of a steering column, then remove a wheel in the pin equipped with splines.
Note. If the wheel is tight and cannot be removed, use the palm of your hand on it, or pull it left and right while pulling it up.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following points:
- a) Before installation, set the turn signal stalk lever to the center position, otherwise the indicators will not automatically turn off when the turn is completed;
- b) Follow the correct alignment of the landing marks applied during the dismantling process. Tighten the steering wheel fastening nut strictly with the required force.
Airbag equipped models
Warning! Before removal of a steering wheel familiarize with preventions concerning observance of precautionary measures given in the Chapter Onboard electrical equipment this guide.
Removing
1. Remove the airbag assembly (see chapter Onboard electrical equipment).
2. Place the vehicle's front wheels in a straight line position, then lock the steering column in that position by removing the key from the ignition.
3. Turn out the fixing screw in the top part of the lower casing of a steering column. Lower the casing, release it from the latches and remove it from the vehicle.
4. Walk on electroconducting of the block of a pillow of safety to the socket. Disconnect the connector so that the wiring can be removed with the steering wheel.
5. Give a fixing nut, remove a washer and mark position of a steering wheel concerning a column shaft.
6. Remove the steering wheel with the splined shaft trunnion. Be careful not to damage the electrical wiring.
Note. If the wheel is tight and cannot be removed, use the palm of your hand on it, or pull it left and right while pulling it up.
Installation

- b) Before installing the steering wheel, make sure that the front wheels of the car are in a straight line. Follow the correct alignment of the landing marks applied during the dismantling process. Tighten the steering wheel fastening nut strictly with the required force;
- c) Follow the correct wiring and the reliability of the connection of the airbag unit connector, only after making sure that everything is in order, proceed to install the steering column cover;
- d) Finally, reinstall the airbag assembly (see chapter Onboard electrical equipment).
