Attention! Before you start servicing the components of the onboard electrical equipment, read the requirements of the safety regulations for working with electrical appliances. See also the warnings in Part Charge and launch systems Heads Electric equipment of the engine.
The vehicle is equipped with a 12-volt negative ground electrical system. The power supply to lighting fixtures and other consumers is carried out from a lead-acid type battery, which is recharged from an alternator.
This Chapter describes the procedures for repair and maintenance of electrical components installed on the vehicle and not directly related to the operation of the engine.
To prevent electrical shock or fire from an accidental short circuit, disconnect the negative cable from the battery before servicing the onboard electrical components. Regularly check the condition of the wiring harnesses and the reliability of their fastening in intermediate clamps, clamps and strappings. Make sure that the wire insulation does not fray when in contact with components located adjacent to the harness.
Attention! On models equipped with an anti-theft system, the alarm must be disabled before disconnecting the battery. Be sure to turn on the system after connecting the battery.
